Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Technical Business Analyst I to join the Biomed Informatics Core (BMIC) within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. This entry‑level role supports BMIC operations, service desk activities, and requirement gathering for research projects.

You will work with REDCap, OpenSpecimen, and data systems, help document procedures, and assist in change control and QA processes. Location is Utah campus with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and 2 years of related work experience or a master's degree.
• Experience in a research setting and service management is preferred.
• Ability to document procedures and translate requirements into actionable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for incident resolution and change requests for BMIC service desk projects.
• Coordinate day-to-day BMIC application operations and service desk support.
• Follow, develop and maintain user-facing documentation and internal SOPs.
• Implement and manage change control and QA processes.
• Gather and document business requirements for BMIC projects.
• Configure, test, and deploy informatics solutions for investigator teams.
