Job summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a Research Equipment Maintenance Lead to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of specialized research equipment, including lasers, environmental chambers, vacuum chambers, microscopes, and network servers, supporting the AFRL Materials and Manufacturing Directorate (RX).

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance activities, coordinating with Scientists and Engineers to keep their focus on RDT&E, and maintaining equipment records, technical orders,

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of DoD Facility Maintenance experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DoD Facility Management supervisor.
• Ability to obtain a favorable background investigation and CAC.
• Experience with laser systems, vacuum chambers, or precision laboratory equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance activities on specialized research and laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate with Scientists and Engineers (S&E) to keep their focus on Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) by managing facility and equipment issues on their behalf.
• Maintain equipment records, technical orders, and inspection documentation.
