Qualifications

• PhD with significant experience in advanced controls, optimization, estimation, or detection algorithms.
• MS with 10+ years in the same domain.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and at least one of C, C++, Python.
• Experience developing algorithms for complex physical systems.
• Strong peer‑reviewed publication record.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional research teams and contribute as a senior individual to advanced controls, optimization, estimation, and detection algorithms.
• Validate solutions through simulation and hands-on testing on target systems.
• Document work through patents, publications, and technical reports to advance the field and protect IP.
• Transfer mature technologies to GE Vernova engineering teams for integration.
• Monitor emerging developments in systems technology and identify new research opportunities.
• Collaborate with GE Research, business units, and external partners from academia, industry, and government.
