Job summary

3M Center, Maplewood, MN-based Senior Research Engineer role focuses on developing and applying CFD models to improve understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer in 3M's materials, processes, and energy systems.

The position involves leading CFD model development, cross-functional collaboration for Multiphysics simulations, and supporting customer engagements with complex fluid dynamics challenges, plus contributions to IP development. On-site with <10% travel and relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• At least 3 years of CFD experience in engineering environments.
• Knowledge of material handling, energy transport and HPC preferred.

Requirements:

• at least 3 years of experience in CFD and engineering environments, preferably with knowledge of material handling, energy transport, and HPC.
