Job summary

Dunlop Sports Americas is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to conduct analytical research and improve the performance of golf club products. You will use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and CAD tools to design, test, and implement innovative technologies, and coordinate complex experiments through development and product launch phases.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical research to improve golf club product performance.
  • Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and CAD tools to design and evaluate product technologies.
  • Plan and conduct mechanical engineering experiments to test and modify designs.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and Marketing during development and product launch.
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to management and other departments.
  • Manage projects with goals, schedules, milestones, and resources.
  • Coordinate resources with supporting organization managers.
  • Prepare and deliver design documents and specifications.
  • Oversee phases such as product design, specifications, testing.
  • Interface with domestic and international suppliers to convey engineering requirements.
  • Provide status reports to management and other departments to ensure project needs are met.

  • Plan and conduct or coordinate complex mechanical engineering experiments to test, prove, or modify engineering designs.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and Marketing personnel throughout research, development, and product launch phases.
  • Prepare, organize, and otherwise communicate findings in technical reports to management and other departments as necessary.
  • Manage projects, including defining goals, schedules, activities, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Identifies project resource requirements and coordinates resources with supporting organization managers.
  • Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design and engineering documents.
  • Oversees specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
  • Interacts and communicates with domestic and international component suppliers to convey design and engineering requirements.
  • Interfaces with management and personnel from other departments to provide status and progress reports and ensure project needs are met

Required Education & Experience
  • Ideal candidates would have a Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following majors:
  • Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Civil Engineering, Material Science, Physics.
  • 5+ years of experience in Golf or Sporting Goods Engineering.
Preferred Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Masters Degree a plus
  • Avid golfer a plus
  • Experience in product development a plus
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) a plus
