Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Data Analyst 3 to support sophisticated epidemiologic and clinical research studies in Miami, FL. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining REDCap-based data capture and management systems, with emphasis on longitudinal data, automated workflows, and secure data exchange.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, biostatistics, epidemiology or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant research data management or analytics experience.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining REDCap projects for complex studies.
• Proficient in R and/or Python for data workflows and analysis.
• Experience with MyCap and REDCap Mobile App preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as REDCap expert for longitudinal, multi-site research projects.
• Design and maintain complex REDCap structures (arms, events, repeating instruments).
• Develop data extraction, transformation, QC, and analysis-ready datasets.
• Create dashboards, reports, and data quality metrics for investigators.
• Provide training and mentorship on REDCap and data management.
• Ensure compliance with IRB, HIPAA, and data security requirements.
• Collaborate with biostatisticians, investigators, and study teams.
