Job summary

Terrana Biosciences, a Flagship Pioneering venture, seeks a contract Senior Research Associate to join the Delivery and Transformation team. You will contribute to RNA-based product development in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary setting with strong emphasis on communication and record-keeping.

The role requires experience with plant delivery/transformation and disease phenotyping, plus the ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• BS with 5+ years or MS with 3+ years in relevant lab work.
• Experience with plant delivery and expression systems preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Establish and use plant protoplast transient expression systems.
• Phenotype plants for disease symptoms.
• Collaborate to optimize delivery and transformation methods.
• Troubleshoot protocols and propose solutions with data-backed reasoning.
