DELFI Diagnostics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Associate to develop and validate sequencing assays from concept to launch, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and bioinformaticians.

The role supports GLP/CAP/CLIA/FDA-regulated environments and emphasizes rigorous documentation and data quality. The candidate will perform nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, and sequencing, while troubleshooting and communicating findings to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS with 3-4 years of experience or MS with 2-3 years in assay development for life sciences.
• PM shift from 4PM to 12AM during January–March.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, communicate and escalate with limited support on a PM shift.
• Proficient in high-throughput manual laboratory techniques and precise pipetting.
• Experience with NGS execution and nucleic acid extraction/library preparation for NGS.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and troubleshoot moderate to complex laboratory experiments for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Perform end-to-end workflows: nucleic acid extraction, library prep, sequencing with attention to quality standards.
• Communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams and present at scientific meetings.
• Maintain design controls and comprehensive documentation to meet regulatory standards.
