Profluent is seeking a creative Senior Research Associate to join the Technology Development team in Emeryville, CA. You will develop and scale genome editing assays in mammalian cells and collaborate across biology, automation, and data to advance AI-driven protein design.

The role emphasizes independent as well as team contributions, meticulous data tracking, and clear communication while supporting external-facing projects and high-throughput workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mammalian and bacterial cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience with flow cytometry.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent organizational skills for tracking samples and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and automate arrayed and pooled mammalian cell-based gene editing assays.
• Design and execute plasmid cloning campaigns for DNA libraries.
• Utilize readouts such as plate-based assays, flow cytometry, and NGS.
• Track and document samples, assay data, and results.
• Analyze data and interpret results; present findings to teams.
