Profluent Bio, Inc. is seeking a motivated scientist to join the Technology Development team. You will conceptualize, develop, and scale arrayed mammalian cell-based gene editing assays for external-facing projects, while collaborating to improve existing assays and processes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related field with 2+ years of industry research experience
• Hands-on experience with mammalian and bacterial cell culture and molecular biology
• Experience with flow cytometry
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
• Excellent organization to track samples and data

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and automate arrayed and pooled mammalian cell-based gene editing assays
• Design and execute high-throughput plasmid cloning campaigns for DNA libraries
• Utilize readouts such as plate-based assays, flow cytometry, and NGS
• Perform mammalian cell culture and transfection
• Document samples, assay data, and results precisely
• Analyze data and interpret results, presenting findings to teams
• Contribute to lab maintenance and ensure EHS compliance
