Job Overview

The George Washington University Department of Pharmacology & Physiology is an active research department with federally funded programs in neuroscience, cardiovascular pharmacology, integrative physiology, genomics, and oncology. It offers pre‑ and postdoctoral biomedical research training, teaches pharmacology and physiology to medical and physician assistant students, and provides graduate courses through the GW Institute for Biomedical Sciences. The mission is to deliver high‑quality education, advance scientific knowledge, and improve human health through cutting‑edge biomedical research.

Responsibilities
  • Independently conduct research activities in a laboratory setting under guidance of the Principal Investigator.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments; collect and interpret data.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and support manuscript preparation and publication efforts.
  • Generate data for grant submissions and support ongoing research projects.
  • Perform related duties as assigned, as logically related to the position.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (conferred by the start date).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative teamwork skills.

Location & Schedule

Campus: Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM.
Employee must work on site.
