Job Title: Research Analyst II – Government & Social Impact

Location: Remote (U.S. Based – Strong Preference for East Coast, especially NY or DC)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $45-$53/hr (W2)

About the Role

Join Government & Social Impact (GSI) team as a Research Analyst II, where you’ll play a critical role in managing and maintaining global government and political data sets that inform strategy and ensure equitable support for partners in the civic space. You’ll collaborate closely with regional partner managers and engineers to ensure data integrity, policy compliance, and smooth data operations during critical events like elections.

• Manage and maintain Managed Partner Set (MPS) of political and government data across countries.
• Conduct data QA, reviews, and updates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and equity.
• Partner with GSI team members to interpret data, recommend partner designations, and prepare manual lists based on government structure.
• Extract and review data from upstream sources and upload to internal CRM systems.
• Leverage SQL, Excel, or Python to analyze and interpret data for performance monitoring and process improvement.
• Support the team during election cycles and escalations by responding to ad hoc data requests and updates.
• Collaborate with engineers to test and monitor data pipelines and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Analyze complex workflows, conduct root-cause analysis, and provide data-driven recommendations for operational improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in data operations, analytics, or similar roles managing global datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Hands-on experience analyzing data using SQL, Excel, or Python to drive actionable insights.
• Experience reviewing dashboards and validating that reports reflect accurate data and key metrics.
• Familiarity with querying databases and understanding of data pipelines.
• Background in international politics, government structure, or civic engagement.
• Experience working in or with election-related data or governmental organizations.
• Exposure to coding or scripting languages (Python, R, etc.) and/or statistical modeling tools.
• Experience in systems engineering, technical program management, or data pipeline development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Government, Political Science, or related field.
