Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is looking for a Research Administrator III/IV in Seattle to provide support in grants and financial management. The position entails overseeing research administration and managing funding sources, ensuring compliance with various federal and institutional guidelines.

This role allows for a hybrid work schedule, requiring at least 3 days a week on campus. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of research administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience managing federal and/or non-federal sponsored research.
• Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate resources.
• Experience creating and executing strategic plans.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of faculty and personnel in grants and translational research.
• Manage monthly time and effort reporting for faculty.
• Monitor assigned project budgets ensuring compliance.

Skills

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office/Adobe

Working knowledge of Excel formulas and functions

Ability to edit SharePoint sites or basic web pages

Knowledge/prior experience with Enterprise Software Systems

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
