Job summary

KSBY is seeking a dynamic journalist to generate original story ideas, front morning newscasts, report from the field, and develop compelling content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms along California’s Central Coast. A BS/BA in journalism or related field and 5+ years of reporting experience are preferred, plus a valid driver's license and ability to drive regularly.

You’ll mentor newer reporters, build sources, and represent the station at community events in San Luis Obispo.

  • 5+ years of reporting or related journalism experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance and ability to drive as part of duties.

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

  • 5+ years of reporting or related journalism experience preferred.

  • Valid driver\'s license, strong driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance meeting company requirements.

  • Ability to drive regularly as part of daily news-gathering responsibilities.

COMPENSATION RANGE

Annual Salary: $72,000.00 - 82,000 Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in California.
