Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to provide technical support across our renewable energy portfolio, including interconnection, permitting, project coordination and due diligence.

The role involves coordinating engineering activities for utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid projects, preparing Basis of Design docs, and supporting Owner’s Engineer activities and EPC interfaces. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in renewable energy are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in utility-scale renewable energy.
• Experience supporting utility-scale solar, BESS, or hybrid projects.
• Strong understanding of the renewable energy project development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide interconnection support including queue management and GIAs.
• Coordinate engineering activities across utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid projects.
• Support permitting processes across federal, state, and environmental agencies.
• Coordinate with Senior Project Managers to track critical paths and schedules.
• Contribute to technical analysis including PV layout optimization and energy yield assessments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
