Job summary

Mickelson & Company, LLC. seeks a senior project finance professional to lead tax credit transfer financings and other project financings for infrastructure and clean energy.

You will oversee a team of Associates and Analysts, coordinating with developers, legal, audit, and consulting firms throughout the transaction lifecycle. The role focuses on modeling, underwriting, due diligence, and deal execution, with travel to industry conferences and partner meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in law, corporate finance, project finance, investment banking, private equity, or developer roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or related field; JD preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling expertise, including forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis, with the ability to build dynamic and scalable models in Excel.
• Experience in negotiating and processing transactions at a law firm, in private practice or investment banking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transaction processes: manage tax credit transfer financings and sales, coordinate underwriting, negotiate term sheets and definitive documents, and drive deals through approval and closing.
• Oversee and review complex project finance models used for valuation, return analysis, sensitivities, and lender/investor cases, ensuring accuracy and bankability of key assumptions.
• Perform detailed due diligence and support deal execution, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external advisors to evaluate data rooms, transaction terms and project documentation, identifying key risks and drivers.
