Job summary

Invenergy LLC, based in Chicago, seeks an Associate, Renewable Procurement, to lead supplier negotiations for wind, solar, and storage projects. You will draft and review major agreements, manage risk allocations, and coordinate with legal, finance, and engineering to align contracting strategies with project goals.

The role requires a strong background in renewable energy procurement, contract drafting, and supplier management, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or contracting.
• Strong negotiation and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple negotiations and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers for major equipment, services, and long-term support agreements across wind, solar, and battery energy storage technologies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contract terms, including supply agreements, service agreements, reservation agreements, NDAs, letters of intent, amendments, and change orders.
• Evaluate supplier redlines and develop negotiation strategies that appropriately allocate commercial, contractual, schedule, performance, warranty, and financial risks.
• Coordinate closely with legal, development, engineering, project management, finance, and tax.
• Support development of procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project objectives and market conditions.
