Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to provide professional safety/technical training across wind, solar, and battery storage. Travel ~50% to sites; Texas-based co-location is preferred.

Develop and maintain training materials, evaluate programs, and support site safety needs. The role requires experience in electrical generation within renewables, and strong communication to engage diverse learners.

Qualifications

• 5 years of practical experience in electrical generation, including renewable energy.
• Education or technical field training related to renewable energy preferred, or equivalent knowledge by experience.
• Experience with technical training development and delivery.
• Extensive knowledge of multiple renewable energy platforms and components.
• Ability to develop and conduct classroom training and engage adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Implement the systematic training process to develop and deliver technical and safety training.
• Travel to Clearway sites and training center to conduct classroom and on-the-job training for Technicians.
• Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to develop clear, engaging course content.
• Design strategies to continuously improve Technicians’ knowledge and skills.
• Provide support to training processes, including third-party vendors as needed.
• Develop understanding of the company safety program and its activities.
• Support Safety Specialists with site-related responsibilities, including safety audits and investigations.
