Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Senior Technology Operations Manager to partner with the CDIO, delivering disciplined operations for tech investments, governance, and asset oversight across the enterprise. You will lead IT Finance, IT Procurement & Contracts, IT Vendor Management, and IT Asset Management, aligning budgeting, licensing, and vendor governance with strategic aims.

This is a remote, full-time role with Denver metro priority and 5–10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of experience in technology operations, IT business management, IT finance, technology procurement, vendor management, IT asset management, software asset management, or related disciplines.
• Experience managing technology budgets, forecasts, purchasing activities, contracts, renewals, and vendor relationships.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience, including direct oversight, performance management, and professional development.
• Experience using AI to enable and support efficiencies in managing large data sets.
• Prior experience developing financial analyses, budget forecasts, variance reporting, and business cases to support technology investment decisions.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing, subscription-based services, SaaS agreements, and technology consumption models.

Responsibilities

• Lead four IT operational functions: IT Finance, IT Procurement, IT Vendor Management, and IT Asset Management.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial planning in partnership with Technology leadership.
• Establish governance practices and dashboards for financial and operational performance.
• Drive cost optimization, vendor negotiations, and contract renewals.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Privacy, Procurement, and Finance on reviews.
• Lead and develop CDIO Operations team and drive continuous improvement.
