Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will drive reliability for large-scale distributed systems, build automation, and lead incident responses with a strong emphasis on observability and secure, scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SRE/DevOps, deep Linux and Kubernetes experience, and proficiency in Python/Go/Java to automate complex workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong programming in Python, Go, or Java with automation focus.
• Deep Linux, networking, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and container workloads.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK).
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infra and apps.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts (consistency, partitioning).
• Proven incident response leadership and post-incident reviews.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for key services.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and tracing strategies.
• Build on-call processes, runbooks, and escalation paths.
• Automate operations with production-grade tooling (Python/Go/Bash).
• Operate large Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Design CI/CD pipelines with testing, canaries, and feature flags.
• Lead capacity planning and performance engineering activities.
• Partner with development teams to embed reliability early.
• Advise on security posture and secure-by-default platform choices.
• Mentor engineers on SRE practices and blameless culture.
