Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking a Risk & Controls Consultant or Senior Consultant to support SOC, SOX, internal audit, and advisory engagements. You will document processes, assess risks, and strengthen client internal control environments across multiple industries.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a remote, client-facing role with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 2–3+ years in public accounting, internal audit, consulting, or risk services.
• Solid understanding of internal control frameworks and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute SOC 1 & 2, SOX, internal audit engagements and related advisory services.
• Document business processes with narratives or flowcharts and identify risks and controls.
• Develop risk and control matrices and assist in test plan design.
• Identify control gaps and assess design and operating effectiveness.
• Prepare reports and discuss findings with client personnel.
• Senior level provides coaching and oversight for juniors.
