Job summary

Agios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior MSL for rare diseases. The role involves scientific exchange with key opinion leaders in hemolytic anemias, including thalassemia, SCD, PK Def, and MDS, and managing investigator and company-sponsored studies.

The MSL will travel up to 70% to support clinical trials, payers, and cross-functional teams, in a field-based remote role with a strong emphasis on compliance and scientific rigor.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree preferred in relevant field.
• 1+ year hematology/rare disease industry experience preferred.
• Travel up to 70% and international travel may be required.
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen with networking abilities.
• Regulatory framework experience with HCP interactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in relevant disease areas.
• Develop and track OL engagement plans and maintain relationships with OLs.
• Respond to unsolicited information requests on Agios molecules and programs.
• Support trial site recruitment and serve as local Agios resource to clinical teams.
• Facilitate sponsored and investigator-initiated trials and provide insights to teams.
• Represent Agios at medical meetings and ensure compliant interactions.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory guidelines governing interactions.
• Demonstrate integrity, execution, leadership, collaboration and innovation.
