Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) to operate in a field-based role across Rare Disease products in the US. The Sr.

MSL will engage Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), sharing scientific information and supporting medical strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes strong clinical expertise, scientific communication, and leadership in MSL activities, with significant regional travel and home-based

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Biological Sciences or related major.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a clinical setting or related therapeutic area.
• MD, PharmD, or PhD in biological sciences strongly preferred and/or a minimum of 2 years track record of success as an MSL.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates territory to profile HCPs and build relationships with key centers of excellence.
• Develops clear, impactful HCP engagement plans aligned with medical strategy.
• Gains and maintains HCP trust by communicating relevant scientific information on products and disease states.
• Gathers and disseminates HCP insights to inform medical strategy and engagement approaches.
