Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced healthcare billing specialist in the United States to manage complex denials, posting, and remittance reconciliation. You will navigate multiple payer portals, research claims, and escalate high-impact cases when needed.

You will also lead appeals, follow up on outstanding payments, and drive process improvements within a remote-capable team environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive healthcare billing experience.
• Expertise in complex claim denials, payment posting, and remittance reconciliation.
• Strong ability to interpret EOBs/ERAs and identify corrective actions.
• Proficient with multiple payer portals and billing systems.
• Excellent communication with payers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex denied claims and resubmissions.
• Process high volumes of health plan payments and reconcile remittance records.
• Review EOBs and ERAs to identify payment discrepancies and denial reasons.
• Follow up on outstanding denials and underpayments via payer portals and calls.
• Prepare comprehensive appeals based on payer requirements and regulations.
• Analyze billing discrepancies and resolve complex issues, escalating when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of billing activities and adjustments for audits.
• Manage billing queues and coordinate with colleagues for timely resolutions.
• Identify denial patterns and implement improvements to workflows and SOPs.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and share best practices.
