Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Golang Developer for a 100% remote, full-time W2 role. You will design and build high-performance backend services, focusing on concurrency, scalability, and cloud-native patterns within an in-house SOW engagement.

You will work with Go, Kubernetes, gRPC/REST APIs, and a range of data stores, ensuring robust instrumentation and maintainability. A strong emphasis on mentorship, code reviews, and documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go.
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, contexts).
• Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native development (client-go, controller-runtime).
• Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment.
• Excellent debugging and performance-engineering skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs in Go, with strong attention to concurrency, error handling, and resource management.
• Build cloud-native applications using Go and Kubernetes-native libraries, applying idiomatic Go patterns and clear module boundaries.
• Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms with robust error handling.
• Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security.
• Profile and optimize Go applications for memory, GC, and goroutine behavior.
• Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, NATS) and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, etcd).
• Build automated tests, including unit, integration, and benchmarks.
• Implement structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards in Go projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal Go libraries and tooling.
