Job summary

Europe Express, part of Travelopia, is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations for a $100M+ revenue business with a distributed international footprint. You’ll report to the CFO, own month-end and year-end close, ensure US GAAP and IFRS compliance, and drive process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
• Progressive accounting experience in global or complex reporting environments.
• Experience leading distributed accounting teams in a mid-sized business.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls and balance sheet governance.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team development experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes within corporate timelines.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS with insights for decisions.
• Lead controls, governance and risk management; strengthen accounting policies.
• Partner with HR, FP&A, Product, Operations, Sales and Marketing to support initiatives.
• Resolve complex accounting issues with sound judgment and risk awareness.
• Lead, coach and develop finance professionals and drive a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee audit processes, coordination with auditors and compliance across statutory and Group requirements.
• Drive finance transformation, automation and AI initiatives with proper governance.
