Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Remote Electrical Engineer to perform detailed calculations and prepare technical drawings and electrical specifications for projects from concept to design completion. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, cable routing, grounding design, and equipment specifications.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering and design expertise required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable ampacity and trench design using CYMCAP, ETAP, or AmpCalc.
• Model grounding system design using WinIGS.
• Conduct field surveys to identify and correct power system problems.
• Discuss existing or potential construction projects with customers.
• Ensure construction activities meet specifications, codes, and requirements.
• Inspect installations for conformance to design and equipment specs.
• Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and projects.
• Operate CAD/engineering software to perform tasks.
• Provide electrical engineering for complex projects with minimal oversight.
• Participate in customer and project interviews.
• Mentor Level 1/2 engineers and designers as tasks are executed.
• Provide training for other technical personnel.
