Placements24 seeks an experienced Credit Risk Manager for a fully remote role from South Africa. You will develop and oversee credit risk policies, monitor lending risk, and refine scoring models to ensure regulatory compliance and sound portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
• Proven expertise in credit analysis, risk modeling (e.g., VaR, PD, LGD), and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of Basel Accords and local banking regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust credit risk management strategies and policies.
• Oversee the assessment and monitoring of credit risk across the loan portfolio.
• Analyze credit applications and financial statements to determine creditworthiness and lending limits.
