Job summary

Kyivstar.Tech is seeking a General QA Engineer to join our backend-focused testing team. You will work on a high-load telecom platform with product managers, analysts and developers to design, execute, and maintain tests across microservices and data flows.

You should have 4+ years of backend QA, strong automation skills, SQL proficiency and experience with CI pipelines. Remote-friendly, English proficiency required, and ongoing learning is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA experience with a backend focus.
• Strong backend testing: data flow between services, databases, and message brokers.
• Automation tools knowledge with Java/TypeScript and CI integration.
• Performance testing: load profiles, latency, throughput, errors.
• Experience creating test strategies and test plans.
• SQL proficiency with complex queries and data integrity checks.
• Linux/UNIX CLI, Git, and basic bash.
• Familiar with MOCK-SERVER or similar tool for isolating dependencies.
• English skills at least intermediate; strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-functional team on a high-load telecom platform.
• Plan, design, execute, and follow-up on tests; manage test documentation.
• API and integration testing across microservices.
• Performance and load testing; regression testing.
• Test automation and maintenance of existing test builds.
• Reporting and documentation of testing outcomes.
