Job summary

Remote People is seeking an Intermediate QA Automation Engineer to own test coverage for a cross-functional squad including PM, designer, front-end, back-end and QA engineers. You’ll work remotely across Asia and Europe, collaborating asynchronously, using AI tooling to accelerate test generation, and raising quality as you grow into more responsibility.

You’ll develop automated tests for new features and regressions, perform functional and API testing, report defects clearly, and help review

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in Quality Assurance or software development roles.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or an equivalent framework.
• Strong coding skills enabling efficient test automation.
• Experience with API testing and automation.
• Familiarity with Jira and Git for issue tracking and version control.
• Excellent written communication for a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tests for new features and regression scenarios.
• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing against requirements.
• Triage and report defects from discovery through resolution.
• Monitor defect ratios and help reduce end-user defects vs QA findings.
• Keep QA impact on release schedules to a minimum.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test generation and validate outputs.
• Contribute to requirements review from a QA perspective.
