Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated track record building and operating internal platforms or shared services used by multiple teams.
• Strong design of distributed systems with attention to consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++).
• Deep understanding of high-throughput messaging/streaming architectures (Kafka, Pulsar, NATS).
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate foundational backend platforms and shared services used by multiple teams.
• Lead multi-quarter platform initiatives and align engineering decisions across teams.
• Architect for high throughput, low latency and reliable operation with strong developer experience.
• Produce crisp design documents and communicate trade-offs clearly.
