Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing in Union City, CA, is seeking a Senior Reliability Test Engineer - Environmental Simulation Lab to lead environmental and electrical tests, develop test plans, analyze data and prepare engineering reports.

You will work with customers and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely test execution in a fast-paced lab, maintain equipment, write SOPs and support audits while advancing reliability programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Science (or related field).
• 10+ years in environmental testing, sustaining engineering, or reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience with climatic, mechanical, and corrosion test equipment.
• Knowledge of data acquisition, test automation, and analysis tools (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Minitab, Python).
• Familiarity with failure analysis, predictive maintenance, and SPC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain environmental testing equipment, including chambers, vibration tables, shock testers, and humidity systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, calibration issues, and test anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ASTM, MIL-STD-810, IEC 60068, ISTA, and other standards.
• Assist in RCCA, FMEA, FTA, Six Sigma for test failures.
• Develop and update SOPs for equipment maintenance and test execution.
• Train lab personnel on test setup, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
