Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Lead Maintenance and Reliability Specialist to maximize the reliability, performance, and efficiency of generation assets. This role blends technical expertise with predictive maintenance strategies and hands-on field support, guiding the maintenance team and providing mentorship.

You will identify and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs, evaluate equipment performance, and advise on standards and improvements across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maintenance and Reliability, Computer Science, Engineering or related area preferred.
• 10+ years of technical and/or professional experience with 7+ years of direct working knowledge of generating equipment and maintenance methods.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, plans, and implements predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including inspection planning and scheduling.
• Makes recommendations on equipment replacement and prepares cost estimates for repairs or improvements.
• Develops and implements generating reliability improvement programs and performs asset reliability studies.
• Provides technical support to maintenance and reliability coordinators.
• Maintains maintenance work backlog and accurate generating equipment database.
