Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer in Manati, PR to lead reliability and maintenance teams across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems for a pharmaceutical client. You will drive predictive maintenance programs, improve asset lifecycles, and optimize costs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise technical teams, manage client relations, and translate complex engineering concepts into clear guidance for operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on technical experience with building engineering systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety).
• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience leading technical teams.
• Fluency in English and Spanish and ability to service bilingual clients.
• Deep knowledge of BMS, CMMS, building automation, and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Reliability and Maintenance Engineers to ensure operational excellence across building systems.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety maintenance with regulatory compliance.
• Implement predictive maintenance (vibration, thermography, ultrasound) to preempt failures.
• Develop Root Cause Failure Analysis protocols and equipment criticality rankings.
• Analyze work orders, conduct facility audits, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure OSHA/state/local code compliance and safety policy adherence.
• Serve as primary client liaison and translate technical concepts for clients.
