Job summary

Zapnix LLC, based in Lake Forest, CA, seeks an experienced Reliability/Quality Engineer to support R&D objectives for instruments. You will plan and execute advanced tests, apply statistical methods, and ensure GMP/QSR compliant documentation throughout product development.

Join a multidisciplinary team to drive design-for-reliability, coordinate with NPI, and contribute to robust, scalable product verification and transfer to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in R&D focused on product reliability and quality engineering.
• Experience applying reliability engineering concepts and methods.
• Familiarity with GMP/QSR regulations and compliant documentation.
• Some knowledge of embedded systems and CAN bus/Ethernet protocols.
• Experience with test automation and verification activities.
• Strong learning agility and cross-functional collaboration.
• 1–2 years transferring products from R&D into manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Implements and enhances reliability systems to support R&D objectives for instruments.
• Reviews product designs, processes, and testing to ensure reliability, quality and compliance.
• Collaborates with NPI teams to plan pre-verification testing and product robustness.
• Develops and executes automated tests, LabVIEW programs, HALT/ALT tests, and environmental tests.
• Ensures timely testing with feedback to drive design improvements.
• Applies statistics, tolerancing, and measurement science to support DfR objectives.
• Coordinates with transfer functions to address production issues in NPI.
• Works with teams to generate DHF verifications and validated documentation.
