Job summary

Badger Meter, Inc. is seeking a senior reliability engineer to advance product life, define acceptance criteria, and drive rigorous testing across new platforms.

You will own the Design Validation Plan, analyze Weibull data, and partner with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Management to embed reliability throughout development and production. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of hardware development, and experience with HALT/HASS/ALT testing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Reliability, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years hardware product-development experience including reliability engineering, accelerated testing and life data analysis.
• ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain standards for reliability assumptions, statistics, methods and documentation for product claims.
• Translate service-life, duty-cycle and warranty expectations into measurable reliability requirements.
• Develop executable test plans with stress profiles, samples, instrumentation and acceptance criteria.
• Lead HALT, HASS, ALT, step-stress testing appropriate to product risks.
• Analyze reliability data using Weibull, censored data, DOE and regression.
• Own the Design Validation Plan for new platforms and assist release decisions.
