The Product Development Engineer focused on Reliability leads or directs multiple reliability projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The role requires planning and performing reliability verification and validation tests, supporting part/assembly qualification, and ensuring Fluency of DfR methods into new product developments.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering field with minimum of 5 years' experience in Reliability Engineering.
• MS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with relevant experience or CRE certification preferred.
• Experience in Reliability and statistical analysis software like Reliasoft/PTC Windchill/Minitab required.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements, product specifications and application and lead qualification in support of release.
• Participate in Design Reviews and drive DfR processes and tools in reliability planning.
• Develop system reliability models and perform thermos-mechanical simulations at component level.
• Collaborate with product support and field service to gather data for reliability metrics.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective actions to implement reliable solutions.
