Job summary

This role collaborates with mechanical, electrical, and software teams through design, validation, and production to deliver field-ready systems.

You will lead failure investigations, develop maintainability plans, and drive design improvements based on data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in reliability engineering or related roles.
• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience with safety-critical hardware/software in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Familiar with MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-516C, MIL-STD-1629.
• Ability to establish a reliability framework across design and production.
• Strong problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review system block diagrams and schematics for reliability and redundancy.
• Lead FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Perform predictive reliability analyses using MIL standards and project data.
• Develop and execute qualification and validation test plans for production readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to optimize assembly and testing processes.
• Develop Maintainability models and Preventative Maintenance plans.
• Lead failure investigations and drive CAPA closure.
• Support milestones reviews and transitions from design to production.
• Develop standardized reliability processes and tooling across projects.
