Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Senior Engineer in Reliability Engineering. You will develop reliability studies, perform RCCA, and analyze field data to improve product reliability. Travel 1–2 times per year may be required.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering and 3–5+ years in reliability or related roles within aerospace or regulated hardware industries. Onsite role with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in reliability or related roles; or a Master’s with 3+ years in similar roles.
• 3+ years leading RCCA using structured methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree).
• 3+ years analyzing field, factory, and warranty data to drive reliability improvements.
• 3+ years developing or automating reliability tools, dashboards, or data-driven analytics.
• 3+ years applying airworthiness and certification requirements for aircraft interiors or electro-mechanical systems.
• Non-US person must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and DOE constructs.
• Recommend design or test methods and SPC procedures for product reliability.
• Compile and analyze performance reports, process control statistics, and relevant variables.
• Develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks.
• Determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing.
