Job summary

3Core Systems, Inc. is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead Azure infrastructure and AKS initiatives in a hybrid Chicago environment. The role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across architecture, security, and operations to deliver secure, scalable deployments.

You will implement IaC, manage CI/CD for multiple environments, and ensure governance and release quality within the PADS program. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting Azure infrastructure.
• AKS, virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, storage accounts.
• Deploying and supporting containerized API services on AKS.
• AKS clusters: node pools, scaling, upgrades, resource quotas, workload availability.
• YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Automated testing, artifact management, environment promotion, rollback.

Responsibilities

• Execute production releases, validate service health after deployment, and maintain tested rollback procedures and release runbooks.
• Configure and operate Cosmos DB databases, including container creation, index maintenance, RU allocation, and data copying.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, image publishing, and deployments across environments.
• Configure Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, health probes, resources, and environment-specific settings.
• Implement secure API connectivity: DNS, TLS, load balancing, private endpoints, and API Management integration.
