Job summary

3Core Systems, Inc. seeks a Release Train Engineer to lead Azure infrastructure and AKS deployments in a hybrid Chicago setting.

This hands-on role blends engineering with DevOps to deliver secure, scalable services across development, testing, and production environments. The engineer will build CI/CD pipelines, configure AKS clusters, and collaborate with architecture, security, and operations to ensure reliable releases for the PADS program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of Azure Infrastructure and AKS experience.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
• CI/CD pipeline engineering
• Infrastructure as Code & scripting experience
• Networking, security & monitoring
• Proficient with YAML-based pipelines
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Experience with Terraform or Bicep
• Strong collaboration across engineering, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute production releases and validate service health post-deployment.
• Configure and operate Cosmos DB databases and related components.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Configure Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, and probes.
• Implement secure API connectivity with DNS/TLS/load balancing.
• Enforce least-privilege access and secret management via Azure Key Vault.
• Integrate automated tests, container image scanning, and security checks into pipelines.
• Monitor, log, and alert using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot deployments and resolve root causes with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain environment consistency and deployment documentation.
