Job summary

SFE is seeking an experienced Release Manager in Charlotte, NC to plan and coordinate end-to-end software releases across multiple applications and teams. This onsite role oversees schedules, dependencies, risks, and change management to ensure quality releases aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and other stakeholders to deliver predictable releases while maintaining strong governance and release

Qualifications

• 5+ to 10+ years of Release Management, Deployment Management, Program/Project Management, or DevOps experience.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale releases across multiple applications and teams.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and ITIL practices.
• Experience in complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Forward plan release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
• Manage risks and resolve issues impacting scope, schedule, and quality.
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget releases.
• Coordinate release content with service requests, third-party apps, and OS updates.
• Communicate project plans, commitments, and changes to stakeholders.
• Coordinate work between teams at different locations.
• Conduct Release Readiness, Milestone, and Go/No-Go reviews.
• Produce Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans.
• Weekly Release Reporting.
• Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required.
• Negotiate and plan all release activities.
• Work with release engineers on branches and code merges.
• Maintain release schedule across core services with partners and vendors.
• Seek continuous improvements in the release process.
• Lead Go-Live activities including deployment checklists.
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss scope and blockers.
