Job summary

RAVE Aerospace LLC is seeking a Senior Software Release Manager to lead strategic execution of product and airline releases. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, align stakeholders, and resolve issues to ensure timely, high-quality deployments.

The role requires strong technical understanding of software release lifecycles, risk management, and effective communication with engineering, QA, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software release management, technical project management, software delivery, or software program management.
• Experience in complex customer-facing software delivery environments, preferably within aviation, aerospace, IFE, embedded systems, or other integrated technology platforms.
• Strong software technical understanding across release lifecycle, defects, builds, integrations, deployment readiness, and customer-impacting issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate software release processes with planning, scheduling, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Program Management to ensure alignment and communication throughout the release lifecycle.
• Oversee defect prioritization and resolution, negotiating scope and schedule.
• Manage release risks, blockers, and recovery plans with proactive issue resolution.
• Document and communicate release plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and customers.
• Maintain Jira and MS Project views to support planning, tracking, and reporting.
