Professional Transportation Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Principal Release Engineer (Automation Developer) to own the software release process.

You will coordinate with Development, QA, and Operations to ensure timely, high-quality releases and robust automation across Java apps. The role emphasizes building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, containerization using Docker/Kubernetes, and strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Release Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tooling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Proven ability to automate and optimize build and release processes.

Responsabilidades

• Automate builds: Develop and maintain build scripts to automate compilation, packaging, and deployment of Java applications.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure code is built, tested, and deployed frequently and reliably.
• Optimize the build process for speed, efficiency, and stability.
• Ensure code quality: Integrate automated testing and quality checks into the build process.
• Manage dependencies to ensure consistency across environments.
• Troubleshoot build failures across build, test, or deployment phases.
• Containerize applications using Docker for consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of features.
