Simarn Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior DevOps / Release Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise CI/CD platforms, release automation frameworks, and deployment orchestration solutions. This role focuses on release automation, artifact promotion, software delivery lifecycle management, and deployment platform engineering.

Candidates must have hands-on experience with Python, Jenkins, Ansible, JFrog Artifactory, and Git in enterprise release governance

Qualifications

• > 10+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Release Engineering, or Release Automation.
• "> Strong Jenkins Pipeline development with Jenkinsfiles and Groovy.
• "> Hands-on Ansible playbook development and Ansible Tower/AWX.
• "> Artifactory administration and artifact promotion experience.
• "> Advanced Git expertise with branching and release strategies.
• "> Experience with Liquibase or similar DB release tools.
• "> Strong Linux and shell scripting skills.
• "> Experience with enterprise SDLC and release governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and platforms like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Harness.
• Create reusable pipeline-as-code with conditional logic for branches and releases.
• Automate releases across DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD with approval gates and deployment controls.
• Develop Ansible playbooks, roles, and Jinja2 templates for env-specific configurations.
• Build Ansible Tower/AWX workflows and deployment processes.
• Develop Python automation for file processing, parsing, and release orchestration.
• Administer Artifactory repositories and implement artifact publishing and lifecycle management.
• Manage Git branching, release branches, tags, and merge conflicts.
• Create Liquibase deployment pipelines with changelogs and rollback strategies.
• Support change approvals, CAB processes, auditability, and compliance.
