Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years in power generation/distribution preferred.
• 5+ years as relay technician preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of breakers, switchgear, CT/PT & transformers.
• Experience with SEL relays & MV switchgear is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and test electrical protection relays and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair protection and control systems.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair LV and MV breakers and switchgear.
• Assist engineering and operations with new equipment commissioning.
• Prepare as-built protection/control schematics.
• Support power generation fleets and remote sites.
• Document test procedures and results.
• Provide technical support to remote operations as needed.
