XPENG is seeking a research engineer to advance deep-learning methods for legged locomotion and whole-body control in humanoid robots. You will develop end-to-end motion controllers using reinforcement learning or imitation learning, and design experiments to evaluate RL controllers, addressing sim-to-real challenges.
The role requires an advanced degree and 1–3+ years in DL, Python, and PyTorch, with knowledge of PPO, DQN, SAC. C++ is a plus and robotics hardware experience is valued.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $174,720 - $295,680, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
