American Electric Power is seeking a Regulatory Consultant to advance regulatory knowledge and support for rate cases, audits, and policy matters. The candidate will assemble data, conduct research, and collaborate with senior staff to develop regulatory strategies and deliverables.

Roles require on-site work at the Ohio Power Company headquarters in Gahanna, OH, with on-call duties and occasional travel. A degree plus experience in regulatory functions is expected.

• Proficiency with spreadsheets is required.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess analytical problem solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in the assembly of basic data for cost-of-service studies, load research, rate filings, and related work.
• Conducts research and supplies information with guidance from senior team members.
• Completes assigned projects according to plan and schedule.
• Assists in preparing technical reports, papers, testimony, discovery requests, and financial reporting.
• Develops task-specific problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Gains basic knowledge of regulatory matters relevant to the function.
• Supports presentation of regulatory subjects and strategies to management or regulatory bodies.
