Job summary

State of Vermont, Agriculture, Food & Markets Agency, seeks an Agricultural Input Regulatory Specialist III to regulate distributors of agricultural products in Vermont. The role involves independent work and team collaboration to enforce regulatory programs, with travel requirements across the state.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with several years of related experience or advanced regulator roles, and may include occasional non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of experience in agricultural production or livestock farming, greenhouse operation, veterinary office, environmental, or a related field.
• OR
• Five (5) years or more experience in farm or agricultural production or livestock farming, greenhouse operation, veterinary office, environmental or a related field that incudes database management.
• OR
• Three (3) years as a Feed, Seed, Fertilizer Regulatory Specialist II or an Agricultural Resource Management Specialist II.

Responsibilities

• Regulate distributors of feed, pet food, dosage form animal health products, fertilizer, lime, beneficial substances, seed and pesticide products in Vermont.
• Work independently and with a team to support regulatory programs and communicate efforts.
• Trade statewide, including occasional out-of-state, evening and weekend duty as needed.
