Job summary

EMPLOYERS is seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst for a 100% remote position in the United States to manage Unit Stat and WCPOLS submissions to NCCI, WCIRB and other independent bureaus.

You will lead reporting efforts, coordinate training, review bureau edits, and ensure SLA adherence while collaborating with Underwriting, IT and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with NCCI or independent bureaus WCPOLS filing requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience with Work Comp bureau or carrier in underwriting, Premium Audit or Claims.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the company and with the bureaus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.

Job description

Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst | 100% Remote (WFH) Opportunity

This position is responsible the accurate and timely submission of Unit Statistical and WCPOLs data to NCCI, WCIRB and other Independent Bureaus in accordance with established procedures and guidelines set forth by the Bureaus statistical plans.

General Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with Underwriting Director, System Engineers and Compliance leadership to establish, monitor and amend strategies, standards and processes as they relate to reporting to NCCI/WCIRB and all other Independent Bureaus.
  • Serve as a team lead, providing guidance to other non-senior analysts. They will review and approve actions/corrections within their more senior knowledge base in the absence or at the request of the Underwriting Director.
  • Support the Underwriting Director in managing and updating SOPs for the team’s processes.
  • Responsible for coordinating and providing training to others on these procedures and ensuring that the service level agreements are met.
  • Acts as the Lead Subject Matter Expert in NCCI/WCIRB regulatory reporting including coordinating UAT/testing for projects related to data reporting.
  • Receives, researches and resolves issues listed on the NCCI and independent Bureaus control and edit lists.
  • Assists in processing incoming inquiries from NCCI, independent Bureaus and internal Underwriting department.
  • Provides input and make recommendations concerning writing business in specific states to ensure NCCI and independent Bureau reporting needs are met and provides state specs to IT and Underwriting departments.
WCPOLS Focus
  • Lead the accurate and timely submission of WCPOLS (WC Policy Reporting Specifications) data to WCIRB/NCCI and other independent Bureaus.
  • Creates daily file of WCPOLS data from the source system and transmits to NCCI and other independent Bureaus via their DTVI program.
  • Reviews NCCI and other independent Bureaus edit reports daily to identify existing errors and take the necessary action prior to submission of the file to the bureau.
  • Oversees and processes all incoming WCPOLS inquiries from NCCI, independent Bureaus and internal Underwriting department.
  • Responsible for and updates, in NCCI on-line application, the policy data in the NCCI and independent Bureaus records for all types of errors.
  • Responsible for timely responses of inquiries/emails received in the WCPOLs inbox.
Unit Stat Focus
  • Lead the accurate and timely submission of Unit Stat reporting to WCIRB/NCCI and other independent Bureaus.
  • Assists in submitting accurate and timely submission of WCSTAT (WC Unit stat Reporting Specifications) data to WCIRB/NCCI and other independent Bureaus.
  • Creates and validates file for addressing the Pre-Processing of the units in the source
  • system two months prior to the final file submission.
  • Produces the monthly unit stat error reports for the NCCI policies and other independent Bureaus.
  • Responsible for the unit stat data in the NCCI and independent Bureaus records for all types of errors and updates in NCCI on-line application.
  • Works closely and takes lead in coordinating efforts with Claims, Underwriting, Premium Audit and other departments to report data within timeline requirements.
  • Responsible for timely responses of inquiries/emails received in the Unit Stat inbox.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Background and Experience/Expertise
  • 5years’ experience working with either the NCCI or independent Bureaus WCPOLS filing requirements.
  • 5 or more years’ experience with either a Work Comp bureau or a Workers’ Comp carrier in the underwriting, Premium Audit or Claims environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working / business relationships at all levels of the company and with the bureaus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Work Environment
  • Remote: This role is 100% remote, open to candidates currently located in the United States who are able to work without sponsorship.
    • Requires a private, quiet workspace suitable for focused work and video collaboration.
  • Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the needs of the role and organization, and may be adjusted as needed.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to off-site locations for meetings may be required.
